This site runs on the smart and well-dressed Tumblr blogging platform, which is made by a group of clever people in NYC.
I designed the National Park theme, which can be purchased by you from Tumblr’s Premium Themes store. The theme was created in Adobe Fireworks and hand-crafted in HTML and CSS.
The header graphic is set in Underware’s Liza Pro and Auto, and included via image replacement. Body text is set in David Březina’s Skolar, with links in Ján Filípek’s Deva Ideal. Quote posts are set in Obliqua Bold by César Puertas. All fonts (except Liza and Auto) are served by the Typekit service to supported browsers.
The post icons are mostly from Martin Friedl’s Poppi typeface, with a couple of minor modifications by me. If you like them, please purchase a licence.
I wrote a couple of scripts to improve the embedding of Vimeo and YouTube videos, and to faciliate AJAX loading of post notes. Help yourself, but please give credit somewhere appropriate. Thanks!
