“Hitchcock” by The Phoenix Foundation from 2005, directed and animated by the fiercely talented Reuben Sutherland (the Ikea TVC in his portfolio is an old favourite).

From the BBC:

The photo-realistic cars were created with stills of an old Lada that was multi-layered (90 times!) to enable them to appear 3D, which were then animated and composited with the back plates in just one layer. The cars and the moving back plates were shot on location on a road trip in New Zealand with a digital stills camera (somehow). All post was then completed by Reuben in After Effects.
