“Hitchcock” by The Phoenix Foundation from 2005, directed and animated by the fiercely talented Reuben Sutherland (the Ikea TVC in his portfolio is an old favourite).
From the BBC:
The photo-realistic cars were created with stills of an old Lada that was multi-layered (90 times!) to enable them to appear 3D, which were then animated and composited with the back plates in just one layer. The cars and the moving back plates were shot on location on a road trip in New Zealand with a digital stills camera (somehow). All post was then completed by Reuben in After Effects.

Jacques Villeneuve crosses the finish line and takes the checkered flag – 3 hours and 15 minutes after the race began – the record books showing that after his two-lap penalty, Jacques Villeneuve is the first person ever to win the 500-mile race by completing 505 miles.
