A conceptual video for collaborative research project Mag+, initiated by Bonnier R&D, into the experience of reading magazines on handheld digital devices. Rather than introducing any sort of radical new UI paradigm, the concept relies on a minimalist yet typographically rich approach that mixes the best of print and screen interaction on a tablet-sized device.

This promotional film by Charles and Ray Eames includes a detailed look at the internals of Polaroid’s SX-70 camera, including its lens assembly and the mechanical operation that follows each shutter press. The style, framing and voiceover are all impeccable. (via Pat Dryburgh)

  So it seems my flash meter’s either broken or in the habit of lying to me these days. The bright side is, apparently if you underexpose Kodak E200 a good bit things start to look like a 60s Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar. I’m newly in love with Kodak again as a result of shooting this last roll of E200. Many thanks to Mr. John Kelso for giving me that roll of film and to Mrs. Jarla Aberdavis for posing.
